Atopic eczema is an allergic skin condition that not only affects the skin but also plays a central role in various other health issues. It impacts mental health and leads to the development of other diseases. The disease is incredibly difficult for patients and their families, seriously impacting daily life.
September 14th marks World Atopic Eczema Day.
This awareness day was initiated in 2018 to shine a global and European spotlight on this condition. It is a collaborative effort led by GlobalSkin – International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organizations and the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations (EFA) to raise awareness and foster understanding about atopic eczema.
